Alfredo Austin has been singing and performing since the age of six. He has studied classical, jazz, R&B, and musical theatre voice. He has been featured in many musicals and vocal ensembles including the roles of Horton in Premier Centre for the Arts’ production of Suessical the Musical and Lamar in the Harrington Theatre Arts Production of Godspell. Alfredo was also featured on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart as an R. Kelly Impersonator.
Afredo attended the University of Delaware where he studied Voice with Dr. Daniel Cole as well as Dr. Paul Head and recently received his BA in Music with concentrations in Voice and Management. Alfredo has an extensive background in a cappella music as well and was in Vocal Point, a vocal ensemble, at the University of Delaware. He served as the groups director for the 2006-2007 school year and lead them to a third place finish in the regionals for the International Competition of Collegiate A cappella (ICCA). Alfredo also earned the award for Best Soloist in the competition. He has done many vocal arrangements for college and professional groups ranging from the University of Delaware's "Vision" and "Vocal Point" to the University of New Hampshire's "Not too Sharp". Alfredo is now a member of the critically acclaimed vocal band, Hyannis Sound, where he sings Baritone, and tours the New England area with this group of very talented musicians.
