Intermediate & Advanced levels


This intensive offers serious dance students a highly intensive level of instruction that includes classical ballet technique, pointe, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and modern. This is a great way to start preparing for the professional summer intensives they will want to attend in the future to improve their training. The intensive also allows them to experience other styles of dance to help them become a more versatile dancer. The week will end with an in-house performance.



Monday - Thursday

Ballet and Pointe technique class every day

Jazz, contemporary, modern or hip-hop (int. level only)

Nutrition, terminology, and ballet history


Morning - Ballet warm-up

Run through of modern, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop

In-House Performance 

5:00 - 6:00

Mark McCormick, principal dancer and teacher at Ballet Theatre of Maryland, was born in Scotland and raised in Australia. At 16 he received a scholarship to train at the Australia National Theatre Ballet School, where he also received his diploma in Classical Ballet. He has danced with Cinevax Dance Co. in Switzerland, Atlantic City Ballet, Double Take Dance in New York, Galveston Ballet, Montgomery Ballet, and Alabama Ballet Theatre.
